Try Halibut Recipe with Cilantro in 15 minutes

Another halibut recipe recipe with cilantro you say? Yes! When you think fish, you’re usually used to lemon and garlic recipes. Well here’s a halibut recipe with cilantro that you can add to your recipe roster.  In my attempt to incorporate fish into my diet several times a week, this one is one of my favorites.  Fish overall as you know is rich in Omega fatty acids and heart healthy. My recipes are the old school dash of this and dash of that recipe. I have fun when I prep and so use the recipe as a guide but have fun with it. My recipes tend to be very light on salt (forewarning) as I try to prep with less salt to be mindful of heart healthy choices.   After a long day of client meetings, contractor appointments and everything in between, a quick 15 minute fish recipe will do the trick!

I’m a huge fan of picking up fresh fish at local fish markets, but when I’m picking up halibut fillets, I head to Costco. I double down and double freeze bag them and swear by Ziploc brand. I’ve not experienced frost bite on my fish yet thanks to them,  but I have a small trick.  To defrost the fish and avoid the dreaded freezer burn taste (yuck), I wash it with lemon and immerse the fish in cold water for a thorough cleaning.  I grew up on a lot of fish and always prepped to remove the “fishy” taste.  True, some of you folks might like that fishy taste (after all it IS fish).

Enjoy this dash of this and dash of that recipe and let me know how you prep your fish!
