Best Reasons to Move to West New York NJ in Hudson County

West New York NJ

Breathtaking…Waterfront Views…Food…

Whenever I’m missing New York City and the views, I’m reminded that the New York Skyline Views in West New York NJ are just as breathtaking. What are the best reasons to move to West New York NJ in Hudson County?  For starters,  there’s something about the Manhattan skyline and the condos at least viewed from afar that has me feeling like I’m back in New York City.  Okay, so it’s less then 20 minutes away (or so) depending on traffic.

There’s the hustle and bustle of NYC that is incomparable, yet some would say it gets old depending on the day and others say they need a break from it all and “retreat” to New Jersey.  Yet you don’t want to move too far because while West New York by the waterfront is great and all, the accessibility to NYC is important to you. You don’t want to trade New York just because you’re contemplating the move to New Jersey.

So what’s so great about West New York, NJ aside from the NY skyline views?  Here’s my Top 5:

1. New York Sky Line Views in West New York, NJ

Along the boulevard for a long stretch as you drive or walk, you’re serenaded by waterfront views. Wait until dusk and be wowed by the bright lights and big city.

2. NY Ferry (in Weehawken but close)

When you’re in the mood to “cruise” or ferry, the New York Water Way is right by Port Imperial/Weehawken. Okay, to be fair, the ferry service isn’t in West New York but it’s super close.

3. Son Cubano Restaurant

Let me tell you how much I love everything Cuban…the music, the food love, the energy, the food love…but this spot right on River Walk is terrific. Son Cubano Restaurant Home to Chef Eleazor Fuerte and opened since 2010, dine in a relaxed style with waterfront views and vibrant music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

4. West New York, NJ Farmers Market

The Farmers Market held annually from June-October on Boulevard East.  Here you’ll find fresh and ripe vegetables and fruit, a great way to support NJ local farmers.

5. Affordable Living

So you may have tried house hunting in NYC and went home depressed when you learned 2 bedroom condos are roughly $3,000,000.  It’s almost laughably affordable when you ferry over to West New York, NJ. A 2 bedroom/1200 sf condo at Ave Port Imperial Luxury Living will set you back (on average) $675k + however outfitted with every imaginable amenity.

What do you love about West New York, NJ?  The list is ENDLESS, but it’s start.  Let me know in the comments below.  If you’re ready to tour NJ and those cities close to NY either by Ferry, Light Rail, Bus or Train, reach out to me.
