Pie Tasting at Alstede Farms New Jersey

It’s fall and the leaves are changing beautiful hues of oranges and shades of brown. Where does one go for some fall fun?  How does a pie tasting at Alstede Farms sound?  For years Alstede Farms in Chester NJ has been a go to spot for Pick Your Own fruits and veggies.  I was introduced to this farm several years back on a strawberrry picking festival.  We’re talking about delicious ripe strawberries, apples, pumpkins and who can resist fresh apple cider?

At Alstede Farms, not only can you taste test over 30 varietal pie flavors but you can also stop by Tomasello Winery right on site.  Flavors include:  coconut, traditional apple, peach/apple, blueberry and more.  Price of admission?  Free!

Now if you want to PYO (Pick Your Own) pumpkin, then yes there’s an admission fee. But no worries it’s not that bad considering it’s all part of the experience and of course don’t forget that fall hayride!

It might be too cold now, but in the spring/summer and early fall, pick up a sandwich and enjoy their outdoor benches.  Grab a Tomasello Winery Bottle after you partake in some wine and relax. It’s quaint out here and I’m sure when you reach from New York or elsewhere within NJ or PA, you’ll be glad you did some pie tasting at Alstede Farms.
